INDUSTRIES:

MUSIC, BEVERAGES PRIVATE CLUBS, CONTEMPORARY ART

LOCATION:

SOHO HOUSE AUSTIN

CAPACITY:

100

TIMEFRAME:

2 MONTHS

CHALLENGES:

Coordinating travel and accommodations for an 8-person group during a high-occupancy timeframe, confirming JoJo as a guest speaker for the artist conversation, securing the George Washington Carver Museum as an official partner to showcase Clinton's artwork and memorabilia, and payment for artists post-event.

Pain points?

No George Clinton performance, a big miss on a legendary performance and chat, a loss of sponsorship opportunity with Perrier, no opportunity to showcase local artist / music director Ryan Clark.

Worst-case scenario?

Solutions tried before the final?

Any qualitative results / intrinsic benefits of note?

Lifelong fans experienced intimate connections with the Parliament Funkadelic founder, and we were able to secure an official three-month-long exhibition for his artwork at a local black museum. We introduced Clinton to the works of local curator Carre Adams, musical director Nick Clark, and pop sensation JoJo, resulting in a highlight moment for the market and all involved.
