Studio 54 Who? A Halloween Costume Party in Austin

We created the biggest and best Halloween party that Austin's ever seen, 70's style.

INDUSTRIES:

MUSIC, PRIVATE CLUBS, EXPERIENTIAL DESIGN

LOCATION:

SOHO HOUSE AUSTIN

CAPACITY:

1000

TIMEFRAME:

2 MONTHS

CHALLENGES:

Creating the concepts for layering, cocktail offering, and theme for each room at Soho House Austin, working with Bacardi to get the event approved for sponsorship support, finalizing booking for Channel Tres closing DJ set, electrical issues mid-event (stress on the breaker system killed the power for 2 minutes at midnight), AV issues with Channel Tres sound setup, lighting install for rooftop (Neon Tiger), rental fees affecting live sound capabilities as reflected in budget P&L.

Pain points?

Worst-case scenario?

A disasterous inaugural Halloween celebration with no tickets sold for an internationally prestigious private club

Solutions tried before the final?

Nailed our first idea!

Now Showing:

Watch attendees let loose 70’s style at this CFAL-curated Halloween event.

FOCAL POINTS:

How did they find out about it?

We sourced all themes and partners from scratch

Who was involved in the decision making process?

CFAL, Soho House Austin.

What was most important?

Theme, partnership fulfillment, talent booking, sourcing, load-in/load-out logistics, ticketing, content capture

RESULTS:

Any qualitative results / intrinsic benefits of note?

The party was a marvel, from presentation to performance, cocktails and costumes, with all attendees enjoying themselves and expanding their mind on what's possible in Austin right until the final song from Channel Tres

What made it work?

Theme, room curation.

Did the implementation meet our standards?

Yes! $120k in net revenue!

How long did it take?

2 months.
