Classic: Whoopi Goldberg's One Woman 'Spook Show'

You might think that Whoopi Goldberg’s one woman show live from Broadway might’ve been the source of the T in her EGOT (Goldberg is one of 19 people in history to win an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony awards), but you’d be wrong. Goldberg’s debut as a performer, originally entitled Spook Show but later changed to Whoopi Goldberg when transferred to Broadway, won her a Grammy Award for Best Comedy Album. It’s serendipitous how she became the archetype for the little girl she portrays in a portion of the show - kicking down doors that would create hope for the Ayo Edebiri’s of the world and beyond.
