Trailer: F1 (2025)

For some reason, when screenshots leaked of Apple Studios’ then-untitled film “F1” starring Brad Pitt and Damson Idris, it felt like there were some Top Gun vibes afoot. Now that the official trailer has dropped, announcing the director Joseph Kosinski (who was behind the recent Top Gun: Maverick reboot), it all makes sense. The F1 name surely wasn’t cheap to come by for this film, either. This release dovetails with a calculated expansion into the U.S. market by the European racing league, specifically targeting the non-NASCAR auto fanatic and minority communities that mirror the international fanfare they generally court. It’s fun when you can read the tea leaves.
